Can you do the Can Can?

This week's challenge of the week is a Percussion Play-Along from Musication on YouTube! Check out the video for the Week 5 Challenge.

"Officially, it's the "Infernal Galop " from Act II, Scene 2 of Jacques Offenbach's 1858 operetta Orpheus in the Underworld. To the rest of the world, it's simply "the cancan song." And it's usually (although not always) a cue for high-kicking Chorus Girls to hit the stage."

Here's how you can do it: you'll need 2-4 people to play (or more if you're going to make a family orchestra)

The video suggests using these household items to play the song: a box, a metal can, cutlery and a lid.

There are further instructions at the beginning of the video.

Take a short video or a picture of you and your household playing Offenbach's "The Can Can Song" and send it to Miss Morris at emorris@sd57.bc.ca.

Did you use different items? Any actual instruments? Did you change it to body percussion? How did you convince your family or household members to play along with you? Tell me about it in the comments below!

When commenting, please make sure that you write your first name and last initial, and no pictures for now.
