Hello, Heritage Families!
What a wild ride this year is shaping up to be. To combat all of this negativity and fear, our whole school is working together, while apart, to unite our community through the arts. We are going to sing and play songs that help us see hope for the future, that add some peace to our lives, that help us find the joy in our surroundings, and that help us feel the love from one another.
Altogether, we're going to create a filmed presentation for our community, including songs with the topics of Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love.
Classes are learning to sing / play two songs (one class song, and one whole-school song) and will be filmed for the publicly accessible presentation (available on YouTube). Students have been sent home with a FOIPPA (Freedom of Information and Protection Privacy Act) form requesting permission for their likeness to be used in this video. Please indicate whether your child(ren) can be filmed, sign it, and return by Friday, November 27, 2020.
In classes where students have not been given FOIPPA permission, there will be two recordings: one for the public video, and one exclusively for the school. Parents/guardians and community members will not have access to videos containing images of children without FOIPPA permission.
Filming will take place between November 9 – December 11, with the public video released Monday, December 14, 2020.
